Art Goals 2026

As a childless part-timer who is too old to party hardy I’ve found myself wondering “what’s the worst that could happen if I take marketing seriously?”

My long term projects are getting real.

As scary as it feels I know I want to share them with the world. And I want to create a framework to support myself while I make them.

More art than clothes in my closet.

People have told me: “I would buy your art if you sold it somewhere.”

So I set off haphazardly bumbling around with business tools in order to have something to market. There is a learning curve to making an online shop- DNS settings, comparing payment processors, ordering print samples, writing listings, captions, emails, and worst of all… branding.

I have dabbled with business and branding before, but not under my own name, and usually on Etsy which is not my own space. See Mollzifits (Y2k POD hoodies), or Coziestbabe (crochet patterns and plushies), or MagicalNorthwest (PNW botanical art), or the latest one- ThingZone (???)

Most logos are simple for a reason.

These ideas were too specific because I got wrapped up in aesthetics and they were lacking purpose.

My brain every 14 days x1000: “What if your niche was 3D printed sparkly keycaps?! You could make your whole personality KEYCAPS! Make the website purple! Put sparkly keycap GIFs in the margins!”

My gut: “No! We’re keeping it minimalist and broad this time! The focus is the art.”

So. Welcome to Molly Reusser Art-

In August I will list my first shop collection of never-before-seen soft sculptures and illustrative prints, which feels WAY OVERDUE!

To kick things off I started Molly’s Art Newsletter:

  • Summary of what I’m working on.

  • Blog post of the month.

  • Art shows or fairs I will be in (instead of a single last minute Instagram story).

  • New collections in my shop.

Next newsletter will be sent at the beginning of August. It contains a password for early access to my shop update.

If you did not receive the July newsletter then scroll just a little further, the signup box is thither >

As always, thanks for reading-
